- The CoWin platform is being made open source and it will be available to all countries, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said at the CoWin Global Conclave.
- India’s services sector shrank the most last month since July 2020, with the survey-based IHS Markit Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) for services at 41.2, reflecting a second successive monthly contraction in new business and increased job shedding by firms.
- The sharp contraction in the June Services PMI, followed May’s 46.4.
- A reading above 50 denotes expansion and one below it signifies a contraction in business activity.
- June’s manufacturing PMI had earlier slid to 48.4, and with services activity also retreating, the Composite PMI Output Index declined from 48.1 in May to 43.1 in June, again registering the sharpest contraction since July 2020.
- The government has appointed National Health Authority CEO Ram Sewak Sharma and Infosys non-executive chairman Nandan Nilekani as members of an advisory council for creating an Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC).
- The ONDC would promote open networks developed on open-sourced methodology and using protocols independent of any specific platform in order to digitise the entire value chain, derive logistics efficiencies and enhance value for consumers.
- The Reserve Bank on Monday said the first purchase of government securities for an aggregate amount of Rs. 20,000 crore under the G-sec Acquisition Programme (G-SAP 2.0) will be conducted on July 8.
- On June 4, RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das had announced that the central bank will conduct open market purchase of government securities of Rs. 1.2 lakh crore under the G-SAP 2.0 in Q2 of FY22 to support the market. On Thursday, the RBI will buy five government securities of different maturities via a multi-security auction.
- Boxer M.C. Mary Kom and men’s hockey team skipper Manpreet Singh will be flagbearers for India at the opening ceremony of Tokyo Olympics, scheduled to get underway on July 23 .
- Wrestler Bajrang Punia will be the flagbearer at the closing ceremony on August 8.

- रिजर्व बैंक ने कहा है कि सरकारी प्रतिभूतियों की पहली खरीद 20,000 करोड़ रुपये की कुल राशि के लिए है। यह जी-सेक एक्विजिशन प्रोग्राम (जी-एसएपी 2.0) के तहत 8 जुलाई को किया जाएगा।
- 4 जून को, आरबीआई गवर्नर शक्तिकांत दास ने घोषणा की थी कि बाजार का समर्थन करने के लिए वित्त वर्ष 22 की दूसरी तिमाही में जी-एसएपी 2.0 के तहत केंद्रीय बैंक 1.2 लाख करोड़ रुपये की सरकारी प्रतिभूतियों की खुले बाजार में खरीद करेगा।
